Fly over Portsmouth and the Maine coastline!

There’s nothing quite like the Maine coastline! For this picturesque tour, we take off from Portsmouth Airport and follow the Piscataqua River from Newington, NH, all the way to the ocean. Enjoy the view of historic Portsmouth and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, including the old naval prison and several bridges.

As we approach the ocean toward the NH coastline, you’re greeted by a view of two fantastic lighthouses: Portsmouth Light and Whaleback Light. There are also five military forts that once guarded Portsmouth Harbor. From the mouth of the river, we turn to the northeast to enjoy views of Gerrish Island, York Harbor, Stage Neck Beach, Long Sands Beach, and other great sights.

We briefly turn out to sea, where you get a clear view of Boon Island Lighthouse off the coast of Maine. Then it’s on to the most iconic and most photographed American lighthouse: the Nubble Light! Don’t miss your chance to get amazing shots of this picturesque lighthouse from the land and ocean, where very few people have the ability to take photos.

Then we continue up the coast to view Ogunquit, Maine, and Perkins Cove, where you get a great view of the Marginal Way and Wells Beaches. Further up is the Rachel Carson Wildlife Reserve, and then we’re on to amazing views of Kennebunkport, Maine. You even get a view of former president George H. W. Bush’s vacation home.

We head back south along the coast with views out toward the Sanford and Berwick areas and even Mount Washington on a bright day! As we head back to Portsmouth, we pass through Cape Neddick and York Village with views of Mount Agamenticus. Then we fly over Pierce Island and make a turn around the city, taking in the sights of Prescott Park, Strawberry Bank, North Church, Market Square, and much more!

Finally, we turn back toward the old Pease Air Force Base and enjoy an amazing view of Great Bay Estuary and the USS Albacore Submarine Museum before we turn in for our landing.
